Appatently the most expensive trip by train in the wrld, 480 usd and you get the vip trip with a cup of coca mate (coca leaves infusion) plus a delicipus croissant. When I arrived to the train station in Ollaytantambo and requested info about the trip to Machu Picchu and heard the ridiculous price if almist 200 euro round trip… So I really enjoyed a trip to Santa Maria and then Hidroelectrica followed by a two and a half hours walk with nice company (Marek, Anna and Matti 3 friendly young Polish guys/gal ) and it only costed 15 euro… Of course I cannot tell that I was one of the blessed ones to travel in the blue super train, lol.
