In Lakech! Greetings from the land of the Maya

Kiwikangas in Uyuy tan: Yucatan. We arrived yesterday to Temozon Sur to stay at Hacienda Temozon a beautiful spot where for generations the Yucatec hacendados saw the growth of their Green Gold piles turning henequen into fortunes. For Claudia and I this is our
forth visit to these magic lands of the faisan and the deer which we simply love. On this trip we will not visit sacred Maya temples like Chichen Itza or Uxmal, later on today we will stay at the old city of Tho: Merida, bomba!!

Greetings from Belize

20130729-143332.jpg

The Final Aim is closer 800 more! Due to a Dengue Fever I managed to get rid off thanks to Papaya and Chalten leaves (and ok a triple dengue injection and Pills) I had to catch a bus to Puerto Barrios, 224 kms away Chiquimula… Now without fever and frankly almost or really cured and after a painful jumpy ride on the Caribbean waves I am in Punta Gorda, where Customs has been friendly, cumbersome and good I got out of there after almost two hours, let us see what the Mexicans have on their drawer.

Crossing Western Guatemala

Not feeling so good since uesterday when I developed a sort of fever which is making the ride hard and painful (climbing mountains plus nasty headwind) I just hope my itinerary goes as planned so I can reach Puerto Barrios in the next 3 days, today I am posting this from Chiquimula. Guatemala feels a little rough compared to Salvadorean people’s reaction: friendly and with a real smile, here so far I lack this feeling… Hope not to sound judgemental 😉

Once in PB I will catch a boat to cross towards Punta Gorda in Belize, my trip´s final destination is almost on sight…

20130725-092827.jpg

After almost 2 days of frank relaxed break by the Mighty Pacific Ocean in front of Costa del Balsamo in a simply nice hotel Vaquero at El Tunco, I start my ride through the last part if this friendly land with smiling hearts, I head to Guatemala where I expect to arrive tomorrow on my way to Puerto Varrios where should the Divine Cosmic Source
I shall catch a ferry (a lancha actually ) to Punta Gorda in Belize.

El Salvador y tu gente linda, especual gratitud a la linda familia que me acogio en su lindo hotelito a un paso de la inlensa plata de El Tunco. Gracias Mirna, Kalani y Salvador, el Creador Eterno les colme de bendiciones.

20130723-154711.jpg

Yesterday morning I left Honduras by El Amatillo and entered into El Salvador, last night I slept at Usulanta apparently a Maras’ territory, God within and around, the Light is my guide and my shield (people all over, as I have concluded and experienced live in fear. This humble statement of mine is food for thought, read between the lines, life is a delicious joke!).

Today I will sleep at the beach still ignore where exactly, tomorrow I shall be crossing into Guatemala, as soon as I access again the Net I will post again, in the meantime a Hug to you!!!

El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido!!!

After 8 months of cycling when I started at the birthlands of El Comandante Che Guevara today I enjoyed the 34th anniversary of the end of Tyrany and despotic fascist Somosist Dictatorship, not even mention his name to inmortalize this monster. Today Nicaragua is free and in big celebration, and riding my bike 130 kms from Jinotepe to the outskirts of Managua (where the big Revolutionary FSLN gathering rocked the party) and finally reached the beautiful colonnial city of Leon. 128 more kms and I will say Gracias y hasta la vista Hermanas y Hermanos Nicas!!!
My farewell to these revolutionary, volcanic and tropical shaking lands seeded with sweet and lovely kids and grown ups, rice, coffee, mangos, nancite, round watermellon and a lot of colourful and exotic fruits I hardly have seen before!!!
Honduras will be my next ride, a fast one as I intend to cross this land in a single day then I will meet you again through the digital realm in El Salvador.
Until then sisters and brothers, wingless angels perhaps still immersed in the dormant memories that keep you from aknowledging that, the day might just come when some of you realize it… Wao! That’ll be simply heavenly fun.
In the meantimr I share with you some views of this sui generis day kept in my heart memories. Enjoy! Be happy, be love!!!

Marcos Mesa a Nica Hero from the Sandinist Revolution War against the Tyrany Nicaragua went through. Almost killed by a bullet tha entered hus chest and missed his heart for just one inch he survived and remained handicap. Then he was awarded with 2 Purple (pure gold) medals as a War Hero and then sent to Germany to look for medical support to all the victims of that bloody war that ended with the FSLN victory 34 years ago. He gave me a hearted great gift: hus Sandinist soldier scarf. Infinita Gratitud mi hermano Marcos, un Nica ejemplar!!
